Pharmacological Action
  Pharmacodynamics Neomycin whose antibacterial spectrum is similar to kanamycin is aminoglycoside antibacterial drugs. It has strong antibacterial effect on the majority of gram-negative bacilli, such as E. coli, Proteus, Salmonella and Pasteurella multocida. It also sensitive to Staphylococcus aureus. Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Gram-positive bacteria (except Staphylococcus aureus), Rickettsia, anaerobic bacteria and fungi is resistant to this product.
Pharmacokinetics Neomycin is rarely absorbed by oral administration and topical application. After oral administration, only 3% of total dosage can be excreted in urine, most of them excrete from the feces. Intestinal mucosal inflammation or ulcers can increase absorption. Injection administration can be absorbed quickly, and its metabolic processes in vivo is similar to kanamycin.

Drug Interaction
(1) It can cure mastitis that caused by gram-positive bacteria when administer together with macrolide antibiotics.
(2) Oral administration may affect the absorption of digitalis drugs, vitamin A or vitamin B12.
(3) It may have synergy when administer together with penicillins or cephalosporins.
(4) Antibacterial effect of this product can be enhanced in the alkaline environment or administered together with basic drugs (such as bicarbonate, aminophylline, etc.), but the toxicity also rises.
(5) Cations such as Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, NH4+ and K+ may inhibit the antibacterial activity
(6) With cephalosporins, dextran, potent diuretics (such as furosemide, etc.), erythromycin, etc., can enhance the ototoxicity of this product。
(7) Skeletal muscle relaxation drugs (such as succinylcholine chloride, etc.) or the drugs with the same effect can enhance the neuromuscular block effect of this product.

Indication
For the treatment of E. coli disease and diarrhea alba that caused by gram-bacteria in poultry( such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella, etc.).

Usage &Dosage
In this product. Mixed drink: 0.154-0.231g /1L water for poultry, 3-5 days. Continuous administration for 3-5 days

Adverse Reaction
Neomycin is the most toxic aminoglycoside, but oral administration or  topical administration rarely appeared toxic reaction.

Precaution
(1) Egg laying period is disabled.
(2) Oral administration of this product can affect the absorption of vitamin A, vitamin B12.

Withdraw Period
5 days for chicken, 14 days for turkey
